Seventeen People Die on Kentucky Roadways on the first week of the year.

The Kentucky State Police reported Auto Accident and Wrongful Death Statistics for the first week of 2008.

Fifteen of these fatalitiy vicitms were in Motor Vehicles and thirteen were not wearing seatbelts. Kentucky's mandatory seatbelt law took effect on the the First of January 2007.

Three of the Fatalities Reported are alcohol related crashes.
