Nicholasville police are investigating a two-vehicle crash Sunday that left one man dead. Police said they were trying to determine the dead man's identity and would not release his name until his family had been notified.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. Sunday, when a white car, southbound on U.S. 27, turned left onto South Main Street and into the path of a truck. The truck was unable to stop and struck the other vehicle in the passenger door, killing the passenger. The deceased was taken to a hospital, and the truck driver was treated at the scene.
