New light has been brought to the forensics world. A new technology called mini STR DNA profiling is now able to detect even the slightest bit of DNA from the oldest and smallest of samples.

The murder of two women over thirty years ago were finally linked to their killer, John Paul Phillips, by leftover dead skin cells and blood samples. The deaths of Kathleen McSharry and Theresa Clark have been explained.
