A recent police report states that Mark Stone, age 55, was driving eastbound on Kentucky 733 when he lost control of his motorcycle around an S-curve, crossed the centerline, and hit a car. Mark was pronounced dead at the scene while his wife, Teresa Stone, 56, was airlifted to a hospital and pronounced dead at 9:15.

Motorcycle accidents have been on the rise since 1997, according to an article on FreeAdvice.com. About half of all motorcycle accident were involved with hitting other vehicles. Little over a third of cyclists died due to speeding, which is twice the number of passenger vehicles or light trucks. 1158 lives were saved because they wore their helmets... another 640 lives were lost because of the lack thereof.
