Seven People died on Kentucky Highways over the New Years Holiday. This was measured from December 28, 2007 until January 1, 2008. This is one less than a year ago. But the good news doesn't end there. There were 61 fewer Kentucky Wrongful Deaths than in 2006. This is a drop in fatalities of 6.8 percent. The mandatory seatbelt law is to be credited for some of the decrease.

As we reported last night a pickup truck wreck in Ledbetter Kentucky has now resulted in the Wrongful Death of a Paducah Kentucky Woman, Elizabeth Thorn. Thorn, 21, was a passenger in the truck driven by Robert Kelly Jr., 19, of Ledbetter. There was also a two year old child in the truck. Read New Story Here. Three Indiana residents have died in Wrongful Death Car Wreck on Interstate 65 near Bonnieville, Ky. 41 year-old Amparo Zamora and her two passengers, Henry Araneibia, 19, and Lea E. Osorio, 15, all of Indianapolis slid in slick conditions and crossed over into the South Bound Lane. They were then struck and killed by a Semi-Truck. The driver of the Semi-Truck was not injured.
